🇺🇸 Some people might see just a flag. To me, it means so much more. 🇺🇸 Yesterday, with how windy it was, I saw an American flag tumbling down the street, being blown around by the wind. I didn’t think twice. I turned my truck around, pulled over, got out, and chased it down. When I finally caught up to it, I could see it was pretty beat up. The wind had ripped it right off wherever it had been hanging. But there was no way I was going to keep driving and leave our flag lying in the street. I’m a naturalized American citizen. I wasn’t born in this country, but I proudly chose to call it home. 🇺🇸 I’m also a proud U.S. Army veteran who had the honor of serving this country through multiple deployments. This country welcomed me, gave me opportunities, and gave me a place to build a life and raise my family. I’ll never take that for granted. To me, that flag represents more than a piece of fabric. It represents sacrifice, freedom, opportunity, and the men and women who have given so much for this nation. I may not have been born under this flag, but I proudly served under it. And I will always stand for it. 🇺🇸 I have the flag with me now, and I’ll be taking it to a fire station, VFW, or Scout organization so it can be retired properly, with the dignity and respect it deserves.
